FOB @ Santa Monica Pier free show.
sorry in advance for any typos, i'm typing this pretty fast.
So Janaye and I get to Pinkapalooza at 3 and wait inline for 2 hours. Finally at 5 we get in. They have a bunch of booths and stuff set up on the pier involing the Pink clothing line and what not. Janaye and I were like fuck that. We had 4 hours until FOB came on, and we didn't want to go to the stage until like 7:30, so we went on roller coasters and shit. it was very fun. Not to mention being at the ocean on a perfect weather day. We didn't do much in those 4 hours, but the time flew by so at 7 we went to the stage. It was crowded but the crowd was ridiculous so it was easy to get to the front. Basically the crowd was full of 4 types of people.
person 1: Normal people, like Janaye and I
person 2: fat asses with clan gear
person 3: 12 yr olds in sandals and ugg boots
person 4: old parents protecting their slutty 12 yr olds
and to top it off, in the very front there were like 5 old people in LAWN CHAIRS. yes lawn chairs. you heard me correct. old fucks in lawn chairs are the barricade. it was a fucking joke tbh. But i was like, no fuck you, and moved their fucking chairs and got to the front. I was all this is a rock show people, sorry for being a bitch, but idgaf.
so at 8:30 Ashlee arrived. the crowd ~screamed and assholes in the crowd were like "omgg ew ashlee simpson omgg~~" and i'm all :l
to everyone who hates on ashlee, seriously, get a fucking life. she is petes wife. she is what he wants. it shouldnt matter to us as long as he is happy. and tbh, he is the happiest he has ever been with a girl. so all you idiots still stuck in like 2005 with the whole jenae thing NEED to get over it. really.
ANYWAYS ENOUGH RANTING.
at 9:00, the lights dimmed and FOB came on. the crowd was ridiculous, but it was kinda neat not having to push people and get all sweaty. for once at a fob show in pit, i got to actually see every little detail about the performance and not fight with everyone around me. i loved it. the opened with SWGD and of course everyone new that song. then the next song was GTA. and like usual, the crowd sang the opening....but seriously only about 15 people, not an exaggeration, new the begging. it was kinda cute to see all their faces be shocked. all the people singing were in our area, so Pete and Joe just kind of smiled at our part of the pit. they sang a couple other songs like Like a Lawyer, dance dance, 16 candels, & beat it. For like a laywer it was really cute. Pete was talking about how "love is like legos" and how when done correctly it fits. It was amazing seeing him so happy. as cliche and pretty much gay as it sounds, to see how much he's changed for the better over the past 5 yrs is really like...idk heart warming. too imagine him all ~sucidal back in 04 and now seeing him as basically one of the happiest people on the planet and all ~inlove is so amazing. but anyways, back to the story, then the started Take over, but before Patrick sang, Pete brougt out Tyga and he freestyled for like a minute. it was pretty cool. Pete also mentioned how he talked to Panic earlier that day and how they were jealous FOB was playing a show at the ~beach while they were stuck in London. Then they brought with "I write sings". Then aftet that Pete was talking to patrick about how they wanted to do another cover so while patrick was trying to figure out the chords (lol) Pete was talking about how we all want to see him and patrick together and it was pretty cute. then they sang that Akon song "Dont Matter" and that Ignition song by R. Kelly. it was pretty fucking awesome. Patricks voice sounded amazing on that song. holy shit. then for the ~encore they broke out Saturday of course and Pete like always came into the crowd. it was hilarious. right when he got to the barricade this girl tried to unzip his pants and the secrutiy guard had to like, grab petes dick so no one could unzip his pants. pete just laughed and smiled it was pretty adorable. and at the end Pete threw a pick that didnt go over the barricade, so at the end of the show, i ran over and had the security guard get it for me, so i got Pete's pick :]]]....and before FOB went off Pete said "We'll be back sooner than you think, so don't cheat on us"
Spring tour prehaps? i hope so!!!
then we went home. honestly, it was one of my favorite shows ever. i cant say it's my favorite FOB show cause nothing will ever top the feeling i got the first time they walked out onstage (or more like popped up from underground at hct 2007), but it was deifnitely in my top 4 shows of all time. it was such a rewarding and lucky experience too see them in such an intimate setting. and ty to my daddy for leaving work early to take Janaye and I :D
